A branding identity for an Esports Counter Strike team.

The Esports market is growing bigger every day. Larger competitions and larger cash prizes. Counter-Strike Global Offensive is a game with a huge and diverse fanbase and one of the largest games in the Esports community. A group of players I know asked me to design a team identity and logo for an upcoming tournament.

The term Aimpunch refers to a players reduced control of their character whilst they are under fire. It’s a well-known mechanic and would have resonance with a lot of players. The logo needs to be something easily recognizable and something overly complex wouldn’t suit. I chose a crosshair, which is used in the majority of first person shooters (like Counter-Strike) and a fist which represents the “AimPunch”.

Team wear their own logos whilst they’re playing the matches and so T-Shirts were required.
